Whether immersed in a delicious landscape or observing a microcosm of earthly details, I have forever been enchanted by nature's forms.
This most recent body of work connects the spontaneity of plein air watercolors to a deliberate expressionist construct that encourages viewing at both a comprehensive and intimate level; glimmering as the viewer shifts position. I use a language of mark-making and patterns to interpret the enigmas of our frenzied modern culture and our yearning for deep connection to our precious natural environment. It is the allure of nature’s beauty, intermingling with contemporary distracted life and the frolic of my mind, which guides my expressionism.
