Animals, their forms and personalities, gestures and expressions find common ground with humans. They share in our lives as beloved pets, mysterious creatures, and bring us sustenance. They bring us joy, wonder and challenge. We could not function as we are without them. Making art about them allows me to make a place for them in my world, somewhere between Heaven and Earth.
